Authorities arrested 13 individuals for discharging their firearms in various governorates of Jordan Thursday, coinciding with the massive celebrations that took place following the announcement of the Tawjihi exams results today.

A total of 15 weapons were seized. Additionally, four individuals injured by gunfire have been hospitalized and are reported to be in stable condition.

The Public Security Directorate (PSD) reported 1,161 traffic violations across multiple governorates and said it will take legal and administrative actions against the violators.

Despite these figures, the PSD observed a decrease in traffic violations and incidents of gunfire, indicating a significant sense of responsibility among the majority of citizens. The directorate stressed that efforts will continue resolutely to eliminate these negative behaviors that threaten the safety and security of the community – according to the statement.
